Wondering what lodge or bar is open to the public in Alta or where you will get your pizza or beverage this winter? We have compiled a bit of information for options in Alta this upcoming winter, including what your favorite lodges, restaurants or bar’s covid policies are.

Covid policies at local bar and restaurants:

Please note, as the winter goes on, some businesses may change their options. 

Shallow Shaft is closed for the 2020-21 winter season. 

Alta Lodge’s Sitzmark bar and dining room are open to lodge guests only. 

Alta’s Rustler Lodge’s Eagles Nest bar is open to lodge guests only; the dining room will be taking reservations to non-lodge guests on a limited basis for lunch.

Alta Peruvian Lodge’s bar (Pdog) and dining room are open to lodge guests only.

Goldminer’s Daughter Lodge Saloon and dining room are open to lodge guests only. 

Slopeside Cafe: Food and beverages are available to the public from Slopeside Joe’s patio window from 7 am-5 pm (or as needed).  

Snowpine Lodge’s Gulch Pub is open for lunch and dinner, first come, first served. Sven’s dining room will open soon with reservations.

Collins Grill is closed for the 2020-2021 season. 

Alf’s, Watson, and Albion Grill are operating at 50% capacity. Hosts escort guests to tables where they can order from a QR code. They will receive a text when their food is ready to pick up.

Baldy Brews has a new ski-up take-out window with specialty coffee, an amazing chocolate selection, and expanded grab-and-go food offerings. No indoor access to Baldy Brews.

Alta Java is open seven days a week, with specialty coffee, panini’s, beverages and so much more.

New for 2020-21:

Base Camp Kitchen: Offering grab-and-go homemade food with vegan and gluten-free options. Enjoy fantastic breakfast burritos & chili cheese fries. Wildcat Parking Lot, Friday - Sunday, 8am - 2pm Starting December 14th: Wednesdays- Mondays, closed Tuesdays.

Cecret Mercantile: Serving homemade pastries, brioche, oatmeal, and burritos. Albion Parking Lot, 7:30 am-3:30 pm, closed Tuesdays. 

INSIDER TIP- GET A ROOM:

Book a night at a lodge where you can mingle with fellow guests and employees, enjoy a party marg at the Sitzmark, whiskey ginger at the Pdog, or pizza at the GMD Saloon. Many lodges are offering deals for locals and visitors.  Check their websites for the most up to date info.

 Alta Chalets: Discount of up to 50% on nightly lodging 10/1/20 - 1/31/21.

Alta Lodge: Discount of 25% off lodging through December 2nd.  Many other options offer kids stay free.

Alta Peruvian Lodge: 50% nightly discount on lodging during the 2020 / 2021 ski season.

Goldminer’s Daughter Lodge:  New for 2020, GMD has created day-use rooms where you and four closest covid bubble friends or family members can have a warm place to dry off from a deep powder day, take turns skiing while your partner watches the kids, and the best part- access to the GMD Saloon and indoor cafe. Rustler Lodge: 25% off lodging December 6-26, 2020

Many of the deals listed are offered in support from Shop In Utah.  Shop In Utah is a grant program to help support Utah businesses and provide discounts to consumers. The grant is funded by the CARES Act monies. ACE received several thousand dollars of funding to continue to bring our community opportunities in arts, culture, and education for their enhancement and well being.
