Wildflower Fest

Wasatch Wildflower Festival

The Wasatch Wildflower Festival is a collaboration between Alta Community Enrichment, The Cottonwood Canyons Foundation, and Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort. It is also supported through the efforts of Alta Ski Area, Solitude Ski Area and The U.S. Forest Service.

The Festival's goal is to provide a fun and encouraging environment for people to learn about the wide diversity of wildflowers that are found in the Wasatch Mountains as well as the protection of the watershed.

Alta's festival day in 2008 was quite successful and exciting, thank you to all of you who participated and volunteered their time. We had many people sign up for Wildflower Walks for 2008. Shuttles for our groups to Albion Basin was provided by Alta Shuttle & Hellgate Condos.

Alta Community Enrichment, Friends of Alta and Cottonwood Canyons Foundation all provided educational information for our participants. Music and entertainment was by Lerraine Horstemanhaff, Nathanial Dupertius, Savanna and the New Promised Land, Utah Puppets, and Children's Art.
